I was born in Rome on May 25, 1964. Photography is a historical passion of the family, as a child I saw my Father “tinkering” with the Camera. I have always been attracted to that object capable of stopping time and imprinting it on paper. Then, looking at that image was exciting because it made me relish the sensations I felt.
With my first salary I bought a Yashica FX-1 and finally got started taking photographs by myself.
For so many years I didn’t have a favorite genre ranging in all genres without finding something that really stimulated me.
The passion suddenly ignited, even if in a particularly painful circumstance; in April 2004 my Dad passed away. My then Girlfriend and now Wife, Ursula, to cheer me up arranged for August a trip to Namibia. For the occasion, I bought my first Digital Reflex the Canon EOS 300D.
Africa was an overwhelming discovery. I still remember the incredible feeling of “coming home” that I experienced traveling to Namibia. The huge spaces, colors, profiles of the territory, the silence of the Namib Desert or the incredible night star near the deep Fish River Canyon.
Landscape photography was the first love, then completed by all the other typical aspects of Naturalistic Photography.
The collection I want to present to you is made of Landscapes, portrayed from the immediate proximity of home to those in the journeys made in recent years.
Since 2014 I am a member of the Association of Italian Naturalist Photographers AFNI of which I fully share the approach towards Nature, Environment and Photography.
These aspects are all declined with the aim of making the Nature and the Natural Environments with their vital protagonists known through photographic images in order to disseminate their knowledge and consequently to promote their conservation and protection.
